Tír na Sí farm, in Watergrasshill Co. Cork is a lovely day out. Follow our nature trail. Meet our friendly farm animals, visit our vegetable garden, find the fairies, take a spin on the Farm Express Train or on a Horse and trap.
With Indoor and Outdoor play areas and two restaurant options we have something for everyone.
We are a family who love animals and nature and had a dream of being farmers and living as self sufficiently as possible off the land. We purchased this farm in 2000 and opened to visitors in 2010. We entirely funded the project ourselves and continue to work to enhance the farm.
We grow our own vegetables and potatoes, rear meat and keep honeybees. We farm in an environmentally friendly way, use animal manure instead of chemical fertilisers and make our own hay and silage for animal feed using vintage machinery and a 60 year old ‘David Brown’ tractor. We also use a lot of recycled materials around the farm and in the café.
Wood burning stoves provide heating and hot water and we have a wood fired oven.
To inspire people to foster a love for nature and to cherish, respect and conserve our natural heritage for a sustainable future. With increasingly busy lifestyles, there is much to be said for the healing power of nature.
